What is a school of thought? 

A school of thought refers to a particular ideology, belief system, or approach to a specific subject or discipline. These schools of thought are like intellectual currents that shape the way we perceive and analyze various aspects of the world. They often emerge as a result of profound thinkers and scholars who propose unique perspectives, methodologies, or theories. 

In a general sense, though, we may see school of thought as a way of thinking. It represents any system of thought or say— a paradigm of thought. The pattern our various ideas take. How we think.

Schools of thought is the Plural form of school of thought. Note that only the school in it changes, carrying an additional word ‘s’.
